A Gap Year is a unique opportunity to gain experiences between the time you graduate high school and begin college. Some benefits of taking a gap year can include travel, the chance to grow as a person, exposure to new cultures and languages, additional experiences to include on your college applications, and much more. Students often will take this opportunity to give back to their communities through volunteer work. Learn more about Gap Year at their nearby fairs.
Although there are some programs that will help ensure your admission to a college following your Gap Year, it is typically the responsibility of the student to gain admission and then request that admittance be deferred for a year. It is important to check and make sure the college supports this option.
