Each year, residency must be established for students attending Maine East High School. Maine Township District 207 has contracted with an outside vendor to automatically verify the residency of all students. This automatic process provides the district a more effective, and accurate means of checking the actual residency of each student. Our intent in verifying each student’s residency is to ensure that we are in compliance with state law and to fulfill our obligation to District 207 taxpayers that we allocate our resources to educate students who are legitimately entitled to attend our school.
Families who have recently moved into the Maine East attendance area or those that have been contacted by Maine East in May 2021 must prove residency prior to the first day of the upcoming school year. If you have any questions about residency, please contact the Student & Family Services department at Maine East at 847-692-8520.
