Mock Trial

Mock Trial is Maine East's law club.  The club meets Tuesdays after school from 3:30 to 4:15 in Rm. 330.   At meetings students learn trial preparation and procedure and the rules of evidence.  Each year the Illinois Bar Association provides the facts of a case, pertinent documents and witness statements.  Students use these to prepare both sides of the case and compete.  In addition to possible scrimmages with other schools, there is a regional competition in the Rolling Meadows Courthouse in late winter.  A state competition is held at the University of Illinois in spring.

For infomation, please contact Ms. Conlon  or Mr. Thomas in the Social Science Department, Rm. 332.  Their e-mail addresses are and respectively.
